3. SMS and WhatsApp Communications

By providing your phone number and joining a trip on TripLink, you consent to receive SMS and/or WhatsApp messages related to your trip activity. These messages may include:

  • Voting reminders and poll results
  • Expense notifications and settlement updates
  • RSVP changes and member updates
  • Trip deadline and departure reminders
  • Daily trip summaries

Message frequency: Varies based on trip activity. Typically 1-5 messages per day during active trip planning.

Opt-out: You can stop receiving SMS messages at any time by replying STOP to any message. Reply HELP for assistance. You can also manage your notification preferences in your TripLink account settings.

Message and data rates may apply. Your carrier's standard messaging rates apply to SMS messages.

4. AI-Powered Features

TripLink uses artificial intelligence to assist with trip planning. When you interact with our AI assistant, your messages and trip context (destinations, dates, member preferences) are processed by our AI provider to generate responses. We sanitize personally identifiable information before sending data to AI providers. Your conversations are stored to improve the service and are not shared with third parties for training purposes.

5. Service Providers

We may employ third party companies and individuals to facilitate our Service ("Service Providers"), to provide the Service on our behalf, to perform Service-related services or to assist us in analyzing how our Service is used.

This includes:

  • Clerk: For authentication and user management.
  • Stripe: For payment processing.
  • Vercel: For hosting and infrastructure.
  • OpenAI: For AI-powered trip planning features.
  • Twilio: For SMS notifications.
  • Meta (WhatsApp Cloud API): For WhatsApp notifications.
  • Resend: For transactional email delivery.
  • Sentry: For error tracking and performance monitoring.
  • Google Analytics: For usage analytics.
  • Upstash: For caching and rate limiting.
